The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is requesting proposals from qualified design-build teams to to design, procure, and install cathodic protection (CP) system retrofits for both the Barge Dock (cellular sheet pile structure) and Deep Draft Dock (pile-supported structure) at Port MacKenzie, Alaska. The Contractor shall furnish a performance bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price as security for the faithful performance of this Contract and also a payment bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price on the forms provided in the Project Manual, with sureties in compliance with applicable law and qualified by law to act as surety in furnishing such bonds, and as may be acceptable to the Borough. The premium shall be paid by the Contractor. Bond must be acceptable to Matanuska-Susitna Borough. The Matanuska-Susitna Borough reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, waive any and all technicalities or informalities it deems appropriate. Award of this project is subject to the availability of funding. The work shall begin no later than ten (10) days after a Notice to Proceed is issued by the Contracting Officer. Substantial Completion September 30, 2022, Final completion October 30, 2022. Per owner all bid were rejected and this will not re-bid.
