Renovation of a fire / police facility in Palmer, Alaska. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The Greater Palmer FSA fire stations were built in the late 1970s to early 1980s. Over that time, there has been no significant remodels or modernization of the stations. The demands of the Department and personnel in the communities have increased through increased call volume and community involvement. Phase II will be developed after consultation from an architect hired in Phase I. Work may include remodeling of the existing structures. Project is included Matanuska-Susitna Borough 2023 - 2027 Budget CIP. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
