The Town of East Hampton, Connecticut is soliciting sealed bids for constructing an access drive. This project encompasses the construction of an access drive and a landing area in support of a future utility infrastructure project on Gildersleeve Drive in East Hampton CT. The work described above includes furnishing, installing and incorporating all materials and equipment into the project as well as performing or providing all labor, supervision, equipment and services unless otherwise noted within the bid documents. A satisfactory Bid Bond or Certified Check, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The Bid Bond shall be made payable to Town of East Hampton and shall be properly executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties. All bonds must be from sureties registered in the State of Connecticut. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of Bid opening. In addition to the Agreement, the successful Bidder shall also provide, within the time stipulated, a Construction Performance Bond by a company satisfactory to the Owner in an amount equal to One Hundred Percent (100%) of Estimated Total Contract Price recorded in the Proposal section of the Contract as executed, and a Construction Payment Bond in like amount will be required from the successful Bidder for faithful performance of the Contract. The Town of East Hampton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all options, bids or proposals; to waive any technicality in any bid or part thereof, and to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of East Hampton.
