PROJECT LOCATION: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, 100 Terminal Drive, Avoca, Pennsylvania 18641. TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION: Project generally includes blasting and constructing fill embankment for the extension of Taxiway B. Major items included in this work are maintenance and protection of traffic, clearing and grubbing, rock embankment, roadway pavement, fencing, and storm drainage systems. PROPOSAL SURETY: All bids must be accompanied by a Proposal Surety (Bid Bond or other instrument as described in the Instructions to Bidders) in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. PREVAILING WAGE RATES: Minimum hourly wage rates shall be paid per the wage rate determinations of the Federal Davis-Bacon Wage Rate Act. DBE / EEO REQUIREMENTS: The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise overall participation goal for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport is 3.24%: as determined by PennDOT Bureau of Aviation.
