Site work and paving for a road / highway in Shoemakersville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Project generally consists of a single bituminous seal coat, double bituminous seal coat with slurry seal, and sweeping on various roads throughout the Borough. Alternate bids for base repair and road reconstruction are included. Questions will be accepted until 4:00 P.M., prevailing time, on Monday, March 21, 2022; questions will be accepted through PennBid, only from prime bidders. All questions must be submitted through PennBid and will not be accepted in any other manner. Each Bid must be accompanied by Bid security in the form of a certified check, bank check, irrevocable letter of credit, or Bid bond (on the form included with the Bidding Documents) for 10 percent of the Bid total Bidders, to reject any or all Bids and to waive any omissions, errors, or irregularities in any Bid. The successful bidder must provide a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond within 20 days of the award of the contract. The Borough of Shoemakersville hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any or all Bids and to waive any omissions, errors, or irregularities in any Bid. The Borough Council of Shoemakersville reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or portions thereof, and to accept any Bid, or portion of Bid, which in its judgement is in the best interest of the Borough. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
