Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Reading, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
There will be no prebid meeting for this project. Each proposal shall be accompanied by bid surety in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposal. A certified check or bid bond will be accepted. The City of Reading reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, and to accept or reject any part of a bid, as may be in the public interest.The successful bidder, upon award of contract, shall furnish at the time of execution of the same, a Maintenance Bond, Payment Bond, and Performance Bond by a surety company acceptable to the City of Reading, in an amount equal to One hundred percent (100%) of the contract to guarantee satisfactory performance. The City of Reading reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept or reject any part of any bid. It also reserves the right to waive any technical defects or minor irregularities, which in its discretion, is in the best interest of the City.
