The City s intent is to have a pool of up to three (3) contractors to provide on-call electrical contractor services. The term of the agreement is one (1) year, with four additional one (1) year renewal terms at the option of the parties. Work will be performed on the interior and exterior of City buildings, parks, parking lots, and roadways. Selected proposer(s) will provide services to include: Labor and materials for interior and exterior electrical projects and repairs. Repair of parking lot, and sports field lighting. Repair of FDOT-style street lights on Federal Highway and Sample Road. High reach vehicle needed for lighting repairs. Repair services on solar lighting. Response within 24 hours for routine electrical work. Response to electrical emergencies within one (1) hour. Response to vehicle accidents within one (1) hour where electrical hazards occur to City owned and/or maintained property. All work done in accordance with the Florida Building Code and National Electric Code. Submit plans and pull permits as required. Cleanup after repairs. Protection of private and public property. Provide Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) when working on public roads. Bids will not be accepted from anyone who obtains the bid documents from any other party. One (1) original, three (3) copies, and one (1) flash drive must be submitted in sealed packaging and clearly marked On-Call Electrical Contractor Services RFP 2022-003 on all packaging, including any outer shipping package or envelope. Any uncertainty regarding the time a bid is received will be resolved against the bidder. Pursuant to Florida law, all responses to this REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL are exempt public records until thirty (30) days after opening, or award of proposal, whichever is sooner. In the event presentations are necessary, all responders will be required to exit the room during the presentations of the other responders as portions of selection committee meetings at which presentations are made are exempt from Florida s public meeting laws. The City of Lighthouse Point reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any and all informalities and irregularities, and to accept or reject all or any part of any proposal as they deem to be in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Lighthouse Point, or the City may reject proposals and re-advertise.
