The City is seeking proposals from Playing Field Contractors to provide improvements to the existing Dan Witt Park as follows: Remove existing 10 high galvanized CL fence on west side of the park and replace with new 10 high vinyl-coated CL fence. New fence to receive 10 high with black windscreen. Perform the following at the north baseball field: 1. Laser grade the clay infield per plan. 2. Remove existing backstop and overhang and dispose offsite. 3. Install new black vinyl-coated CL fence 20 high back stop with two (2) 30 wide wings and 20 wide fence behind home plate. Backstop posts shall be 4 diameter spaced 8 c.c. and set into 16 dia. X 48 deep concrete footings. Install 1-5/8 dia. horizontal railings at top, bottom, and three mid rails. Bottom 10 of CL fence fabric shall be 6 gauge, top 10 shall be 9-gauge, black vinyl- coated fabric. 4. Remove existing behind backstop grade subgrade and install grass sod. Perform the following at the south baseball field: 1. Remove and dispose of existing storage shed and concrete slab behind backstop. 2. Remove and dispose of existing dugouts and concrete slabs. 3. Install new grass sod per plan. 4. Laser grade clay infield per plan. 5. Install new black vinyl-coated CL fence 20 high back stop with two (2) 30 wide wings and 20 wide fence behind home plate. Backstop posts shall be 4 diameter spaced 8 c.c. and set into 16 dia. X 48 deep concrete footings. Install 1-5/8 dia. horizontal railings at top, bottom, and three mid rails. Bottom 10 of CL fence fabric shall be 6 gauge, top 10 shall be 9-gauge, black vinyl-coated fabric. 6. Install two new modular dugouts with concrete pads per plans. CONTRACTOR is required to complete all work described in RFP 2023-009: to remove and install new backstop fencing, perimeter fencing, regrade fields, install new dugouts, install and laser grade clay and grass infield herein be referred to as Dan Witt Park Baseball Improvements ("Project"). The Project area is North and South baseball field at Dan Witt Park, located at 4521 NE 22nd Avenue, Lighthouse Point, FL 33064, as depicted in Exhibit "A". This includes removing and disposing of existing fencing on the west side of the park, backstops, storage sheds, south field dugouts, and concrete material that make up the existing baseball fields at Dan Witt Park. This includes removing and disposing of existing clay and grass material on the south baseball field and installing clay and grass infield according to specifications. New sod and clay will need to be installed and laser graded according to specifications on both baseball fields. New modular dugouts to be installed with concrete slabs on the south baseball field. New backstops with black vinyl chain-link mesh, terminals, and rails to be installed according to specifications on north and south baseball fields. New perimeter 10' fencing with black vinyl chain-link mesh, terminals, and rails to be installed on the west perimeter of the park. The CONTRACTOR will bear all costs associated with the Project. All repairs or replacements of property damaged be CONTRACTOR will be replaced by the CONTRACTOR at their expense and must meet the satisfaction of the CITY. CONTRACTOR must protect trees in area of the Project. CONTRACTOR must secure work area with temporary fencing o Obtain all required building permits. o Deliver materials to jobsite. o Remove and replace existing ten (10) foot high galvanized chain link fencing on west side of the park with ten (10) foot vinyl-coated fencing. Provide and install ten (10) foot high black windscreens on new vinyl fencing. o Regrade clay on field and behind the backstop and dispose off-site, and install sod per plans on north baseball field. o Remove and dispose off-site, and replace north baseball field backstop with overhang. Install new twenty (20) foot high backstop with two thirty (30) foot side wings and twenty (20) foot back. Install four (4) inch posts, spaced eight (8) feet on center and set into sixteen (16) x forty-eight (48) inch concrete footings. Install one and five-eighths (1 5/8) inch top, bottom, and three mid rails. Bottom ten (10) feet of chain-link fabric will be commercial grade six (6) gauge black vinyl coated and top ten feet of fabric will be commercial grade nine (9) gauge black vinyl-coated fabric. o Remove and dispose of storage shed and concrete slab behind south baseball backstop. Remove and dispose of dugouts and concrete slabs on south baseball field. Remove and dispose of existing infield material on south baseball field. o Remove and replace the existing twelve (12) foot high chain-link fabric, canopy, rails, and posts on south baseball field. Install new twenty (20) foot high backstop with two thirty (30) foot side wings and twenty (20) foot back. Install four (4) inch posts, spaced eight (8) feet on center and set into sixteen by forty-eight (16 x 48) inch concrete footings. Install one and five-eighths (1 5/8) inch top, bottom, and three mid rails. Bottom ten (10) feet of chain- link fabric will be commercial grade six (6) gauge black vinyl coated and top ten feet of fabric will be commercial grade nine (9) gauge black vinyl-coated fabric. o Install two new modular dugouts with concrete pads per plan behind south baseball field new backstop. o Infield clay and sod on south baseball field will be regraded per plan. o Final cleanup of jobsite, including removal and disposal of all demolished mater A certified check, cashiers check, bank officers check, or bid for the sum of TEN PERCENT (10%) of the bid amount, made payable to the City of Lighthouse Point, Florida, must accompany each proposal. Pursuant to Florida law, all responses to this Request for Proposal are exempt from public records until thirty (30) days after opening, or award of proposal, whichever is sooner. In the event presentations are conducted, all responders will be required to exit the room during the presentations of the other responders as portions of selection committee meetings at which presentations are made are exempt from Fic meeting laws. The City of Lighthouse Point reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any and all informalities and irregularities, and to accept or reject all or any part of any proposal as they deem to be in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Lighthouse Point, or the City may reject proposals and re-advertise.
