All bids shall be based on 19,884 Square yards of surface. Transition mill of 1.5" - 0", Mill 1.5" of existing asphalt. A portion of the milling can be dumped on site, but the majority will need to be hauled off site. Apply #407 tack at .06 gall/sq. yard. Place 1.5" of compacted 448 Type 1 surface asphalt. Place and pin 10 new 6' parking blocks next to the Agriculture building., place three speed bumps on the access drive next to the parking for the agriculture building. Seal all joints and re-stripe per existing lot striping. Alternate: Please provide alternate bidding for a chip and seal underlayment on the parking lot on st. rt. 47, approximately 6,300 square yards, with a 1.5" transition milling and 1.5" of compacted 448 Type 1 surface asphalt. The alternate price should be shown as a deduct or addition to the total project cost and should not be included in the total bid cost. Any additional repairs to the parking lots that need to be made to complete the project, must be submitted at the time of the bid opening. The responsibility for timely and appropriate bid submission rests solely with each bidder. Bids submitted by mail must be certified or registered with return receipt requested and properly sealed and clearly marked on the outside with the statement: Mississinawa Valley Parking Lot, 1469 St Rt 47, Union City, Ohio 45390. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Subject to the right of the Owner to reject any or all bids, the Owner will award the contract for the Work to the bidder who is determined to be responsible and who submits the lowest responsive bid in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 9.312, taking into consideration accepted alternates, if any.
