The Salt Lake City School District (SLCSD) is seeking competitive sealed proposals from qualified Vendors to provide Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) services for the SLCSD District Office rebuild project. The current district office building consists of two structures, built in 1936 and 1965, and is past its useful life. The SLCSD Board of Education voted in February 2022 to rebuild a new district office on the existing site. The SLCSD has contracted with NJRA Architects (Architect) to serve as architect for this project. All questions MUST be submitted through Periscope Source during the designated time for questions ("Q&A period") listed on Periscope Source. Questions submitted through any other channel will not be answered. Questions may be answered in the order that they are submitted or may be compiled into one document and answered via an addendum. Answers disseminated by SLCSD through the Periscope Source system shall serve as the official and binding position of SLCSD and will constitute an addendum to this RFP. Cost of Bonds: This is the cost of payment and performance bonds based on an amount equal to 100% of the FLCC amount. This amount may not exceed 1% of FLCC. Proposals with markups above 1% will be deemed non-responsive and will not be considered. This is an all-inclusive total for the entirety of the change order. The SLCSD reserves the right to reject any bid package where the escalation is excessive in the sole opinion of the SLCSD, at which time scope reduction or value engineering will be considered by the CM/GC in cooperation with the Architect. This consideration of the CM/GC and the A/E will be submitted to the SLCSD for acceptance.
