Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sutherlin, Oregon. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

1. Demolition of existing landscaping, plantings/trees, concrete landscape border, park benches and concrete bench pads to be performed by City prior to the Contract Notice to Proceed date. The remaining sod shall be removed by the Contractor to limits required for stage construction as determined by Contractor and as specified. A portion of the existing sidewalk, curb/gutter and roadway asphalt/base along S. Umatilla Street will also need to be demolished by the Contractor to accommodate the construction of the new stage driveway approach, sidewalk and roadway repair as shown on the Plans. 2. The new multi-use event stage consists of an approximate 5,600 s.f. reinforced concrete slab-on-grade stage and stage ramps supported by a continuous reinforced concrete footing and retaining wall. The two reinforced concrete ramps will be constructed to allow for vehicular ingress and egress during the course of community events (e.g. the annual Blackberry Festival, etc.). All structural components of the stage driving surfaces must accommodate H10 truck loadings (16,000 lb. single axle load). A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held. 3. To further accommodate vehicular traffic onto the stage, a new concrete driveway approach, asphalt concrete driveway and road repair will be constructed off of S. Umatilla Street as shown on the Plans. 4. A new 400 amp electrical service will be installed to accommodate the power needs of various stage events, but also offer power for food trucks and other related onsite electrical needs. 5. The procurement and/or erection of the event stage cover are not part of this contract. The cover has been purchased by the City of Sutherlin and is currently being stored at the City's public works shop. The Contractor is responsible for the installation of the cover anchoring system, which is to be cast into the reinforced concrete slab-on-grade as shown on the Plans. The stage cover mounting brackets, fabricated and provided by the stage cover manufacturer, will be made available to the Contractor to assist with proper placement of anchors in the stage slab-on-grade. The Contractor shall be held responsible for proper care and storage of the cover mounting brackets during the construction period. The replacement of lost, stolen or damaged mounting brackets shall be the sole responsibility of the Contractor. 6. Post-installed anchors will also be integrated into the reinforced concrete stage to allow for the erection of the City's annual Christmas tree display. The procurement and erection of the tree display and the fabricated tree stand are not part of this Contract. The Contractor will be responsible for the procurement and installation of associated anchors that are to be integrated into the reinforced concrete slab-on-grade as shown on the Plans.
