Site work and paving for a road / highway in Rapho Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

It is the intention of this solicitation for each municipality to enter into a separate contract with the same contractor which shall provide such road materials and services for all of the participating municipalities at the same price. It is the further intent of this solicitation that the lowest responsible and responsive bidder in each contract of road materials and services to enter into separate contracts with each individual municipality, using standard Pennsylvania Department of Transportation forms. The total approximate quantities are as follows: -Bituminous Chip Seal 1/2 " Single 580,000 Sq. Yds. -Bituminous Chip Seal 1/4 " Single 40,000 Sq. Yds. -Ultra Thin Bonded Wearing Course Type B 50,000 Sq. Yds. -Traffic Lines 2,500,000 LF Each bidder shall provide a single price for the above listed materials and services. Each municipality shall be responsible for acceptance of deliveries, verification for conformance with specifications, and making payment to the successful bidder. Penn Township shall not be responsible for the obligations of any other participating municipality. Each municipality reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids which its governing body determines to be in the best interests of the municipalities. Penn Township intends to select the Bidder which, in its sole opinion, is the lowest, responsive, responsible Bidder in each contract of road materials and services. Penn Township will award its contracts or will reject all bids at the meeting of the Board of Supervisors on April 11, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at the Township Office or at a subsequent meeting to be held within 60 days of the bid opening. Each other municipality will award its own contracts or reject all bids at their individual public meeting held after April 11, 2022. For all materials listed above other than traffic line painting, each municipality will require a performance security in the amount of 100% of the bid price calculated using the estimated quantities and unit prices for such municipality. Bid security in the amount of 10% of the total bid for all municipalities payable to all participating municipalities shall be submitted with each bid. No security is required for traffic line bids. Bids shall be submitted on the form provided by Penn Township.
