Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Grimes, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The SE Jacob Street Road Reconstruction and Storm Sewer project includes the replacement of the existing road along SE Jacob Street from E. 1st Street to SE 6th Street in the City of Grimes. The construction includes approximately 5,540 SY of 7" PCC Pavement along SE Jacob St (20' wide with sloped curb) and along SE 6th St (25'/29' wide with standard curb), 6,490 SY of 6" Granular Subbase, 1,150 LF of storm sewer less than or equal to 24-in diameter, 210 LF of storm sewer greater than 24-in diameter, replacement of 70 LF 60" RCP culvert pipe, including a modified pipe apron, manholes and intakes. Other associated improvements include: removal & replacement of existing driveways & sidewalk pavement, removal of existing storm tank structure, erosion control, surface restoration, and miscellaneous associated work necessary to complete the project.
