Renovation of a municipal facility in Jasper, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Jasper Emergency Services Building is a functioning Fire and EMS Station including office space, meeting space, dormitories, and residential apartments. The facility operates 24/7/365. Additionally, the facility is the only designated Emergency Command Center in the community. It is, therefore, critical that the work be planned and scheduled so there is no interruption to the provision of heat and domestic hot water. It is also critical that the replacement heating and hot water equipment have the capacity to meet the building design parameters for 100% redundancy under full heating load and full domestic hot water demand. The successful proponent will be required to remove and replace: two (2) boilers; and two (2) hot water tanks. Included in the work are all tie ins to the existing building utilities, replacement of two (2) heat circulation pumps, one (1) domestic hot water circulation pump, and all point connections to the existing Building Management System. The boilers and DHW tanks are located in the basement mechanical room. The only access to the mechanical room is down a winding set of stairs with reduced headroom and a narrow hallway. All work must be completed without damage or modifications to the stairwell or doorways. Award is subject to final approval.
