The project involves the relocation of approximately 240 linear feet of sanitary sewer, new sanitary piping, new manholes and approximately 8 lateral tie ins on Field Street. The work includes but is not limited to excavation, new sanitary sewer and connections, manholes, back fill and trench restoration and all materials, labor and equipment necessary for a complete installation. This is a unit price bid. Paper sealed bids shall be submitted to the municipality at the above address. Plans and specifications are on file and open to public inspection at the offices of the Owner, address listed above. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid or bids. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the State where the Owner is located will be accepted and the bond shall so state same. There is no pre-bid meeting scheduled, but prospective bidders are urged to familiarize themselves with the site and review the scope of work and construction documents. The limits of work are marked out in white paint. Any contractor who does not do so and submits a bid does so at his own risk. Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within SIXTY (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality, or to reject any or all bids. PA Labor wage rates apply to this contract. There are no MBE/WBE requirements for this project.
