Landscaping (Tree and Shrub Clearing), Paving - Concrete, Construction, Tree Cutting, Concrete Pavement, Sawcutting/Sidewalk/Pavement, Erosion Control/Slope, Bank Stabilization, Traffic Control, Grade and Surface, Pavement Removal, Excavation, Stormwater Improvements, Landscaping - Seeding, Erosion Control - Temporary, Watershed Protection/Riprap, Sewer and Water Construction, Sitework/Excavating and Grading, Paving (Trail Paving), Grubbing & Clearing, Concrete Pavement Removal, Landscaping (Tree Trimming/Cutting). The Diamond Hills Greenway - Stream Repairs project includes multiple necessary repairs to the Diamond Hills Greenway located between SW Polk City Drive and SW 35th Street, in Ankeny, Iowa. The repairs include clearing, grubbing, and removal of nuisance vegetation, repairs to existing storm sewer infrastructure, grading, installation of erosion and sediment control devices, and extension of existing storm sewer outlets along the stream corridor. The construction improvements include approximately 270 linear feet of storm sewer ranging in size from 15-inch to 24-inch in diameter, four (4) storm sewer manholes, two (2) area intakes, and associated footings, aprons, and apron guards. The improvements will also include 260 square yards of 5" PCC trail replacement. Other associated improvements include temporary traffic control, surface restoration, and miscellaneous associated work necessary to complete the project. The Contractor shall fully complete Phase 1 of the project by August 19th, 2022. Phase 1 of the project shall include clearing, grubbing, and grading activities taking place along SW Applewood Street on the northern edge of the project boundary. Full completion for Phase 1 of the project shall be defined as all clearing, grubbing, and grading activities completed, with SW Applewood Street and sidewalks fully open to traffic. Should the Contractor fail to fully complete the work within this timeframe, liquidated damages of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per calendar day will be assessed for work not fully completed within the designated Contract term(s). The Contractor shall fully complete the overall project within forty (40) working days. Full completion for the overall project shall be defined as all utility, grading, and pavement construction completed, with the new sidewalks fully open to traffic, and all improvements ready for final acceptance. Should the Contractor fail to fully complete the work within this timeframe, liquidated damages of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per calendar day will be assessed for work not fully completed within the designated Contract term(s).
