Site work for a water / sewer project in Macy, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Omaha Tribe of Nebraska will accept bids from qualified contractors for the construction of Mainline Water Meters on the Omaha Indian Reservation, Thurston County, Nebraska. The scope of work includes modifying 4 existing vaults with water meters, and installing 3 new water meter vaults and 6 new water meter pits on the water distribution system. The total contract price will not be increased without prior authorization from the Owner via the change order process. A copy of a valid Contractors license for the state in which the work resides or Certification of Renewal thereof issued and registration of Indian owned firm from TERO shall be supplied at the time of bidding and enclosed in the required Bidders Bond envelope. Each contractor shall include in its bid a Native American Preference plan for the master contract and any subcontracts. An apparent successful bidder who fails to submit a Native American preference plan prior to award of the contract shall be considered a non-responsive bidder for the purpose of awarding the contract Notice is hereby given to any and all Contractors who bid on projects on trust land within the exterior boundaries of the Omaha Reservation that you are NOT responsible for the one-time payment of the Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance Office (TERO) fee which amounts to six percent (6%) of the total amount of the contract. TERO fees will be paid by the funding agency outside of the contract so Contractors should not include TERO cost in their Bid. However, a One-time Tribal Work Permit fee - Per contractor must be paid at for $50.00 per project. Arrangements for the payment of this fee is to be made prior to beginning work with the TRIBAL EMPLOYMENT RIGHTS ORDINANCE OFFICE, OMAHA TRIBE, P.O. BOX 368, MACY, NEBRASKA 68039. The Contractor should contact the TERO for any additional requirements and any questions should be made to the attention of the TERO Director, Calvin Harlan, at (402) 837-5391.
