The Public Works Department of the City of Santa Clara proposes to rehabilitate the Bowers Avenue Underpass Storm Drain Pump Station (PROJECT). We are seeking a professional engineering firm to design and provide various professional services for the PROJECT in two phases: Phase 1 - City desires to conduct a detailed pump station assessment and prepare a Basis of Design Report (BOD). The BOD Report shall present condition assessment of the entire pump station including but not limited to all pumps, motors, wet well, electrical and mechanical controls and provide recommended improvements to address existing station deficiencies to meet Citys needs. The BOD Report will be used as the basis for funding requests for the next phase of the Project. Phase 2 - The proposed Agreement includes preparing bid documents (plans, specifications, and engineers estimate - PS&E) for public works bidding based on the approved BOD Report, assisting with building permit approval, and providing engineering support services during bid and award, construction, and post-construction phases. Consultants who are selected to complete the first phase of the PROJECT will not forfeit the opportunity to submit proposals for the next phase of the PROJECT for detailed design, bidding and award support, and construction support. At the sole discretion of the City, the City may continue working with the selected consultant and amend the original design agreement to perform next phase of the PROJECT. If the City decides to continue working with the selected consultant for the next phase of the PROJECT, the selected consultant will be provided the opportunity to update their original cost proposal for the next phase of the PROJECT if additional scope of work has been identified beyond the services indicated in Attachment A, Scope of Services based on findings from the Phase 1 of the project.
