PURPOSE: The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide the main counterweight ropes, auxiliary counterweight ropes, take-ups and required fittings to be installed, by others, on the towers and lift span of the James River Bridge as specified. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: From Date of Award to be delivered within 60 Week QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS INVITATION FOR BID: Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Marlene M. Carter at Marlene.Carter@VDOT.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5:00 PM on June 13, 2022.
