The University of Massachusetts - Lowell, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the Tsongas Center HVAC Units Replacement REBID for the University of Massachusetts - Lowell in Lowell, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by RFS Engineering.The Project consists of: HVAC improvements to replace existing rooftop mechanical equipment and will require supporting architectural, structural, plumbing and electrical improvements to support replacement of the existing equipment. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 6 to 27H inclusive. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, General Building Construction, and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement.General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the University of Massachusetts - Lowell. This deposit will be refunded for up to two sets for general bidders and for one set for sub-bidders upon return of the sets in good condition within thirty (30) days of receipt of general bids.
