Site work for a water / sewer project in Worcester Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work to be performed consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and appurtenances for floodplain restoration activities along a Tributary to Perkiomen Creek and other related work. Erosion & Sedimentation Control Restoration Earthwork Log Sills Woody Debris Landscaping The Successful bidder who is awarded the contract will be required to pay PennBID a fee. Bidders must confirm the fees associated with bidding through PennBID and the successful bidder is responsible for the fees associated with the awarded bid.The work to be performed consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and appurtenances for floodplain restoration activities along a Tributary to Perkiomen Creek and other related work All bids will be reviewed by the Perkiomen Township Board of Supervisors at their regular Supervisors meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. This project is financed in part by Montgomery County through the Montco 2040 Implementation Grant Program. Each Proposal for the Project shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Bank Treasurer Check, Cashier Check, or Bid Bond in the form provided by the Contract Documents, drawn to the order of Perkiomen Township, and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the extended amount of the total of the Proposal, as a guarantee that if the Proposal is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and the performance thereby properly secured. The work shall be substantially completed within seventy-five (75) calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, and as described in the Contract Documents. Proposals shall be valid for sixty (60) calendar days from the date of Bid opening. Attention is called to the fact that no less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the contract documents must be paid, and that employees are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Wages paid employees of the successful bidder shall be subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. The Board of Supervisors of Perkiomen Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or portions thereof. Perkiomen Township also reserves the right to overlook or waive a bid defect, irregularity, deficiency or nonconformance provided that: (1) same is patently insignificant or technical; (2) the best interests of the Township would be advanced by the waiver; (3) the waiver would not give an unfair advantage to one bidder over another; and, (4) the waiver would not violate Section 3102 of the Second Class Township Code, 53 P.S. 68102, et seq. Clarification Deadline: 6/20/2022 10:30 AM Perkiomen Creek Tributary Floodplain Restoration 1. Mobilize equipment, personnel and materials to the project site as necessary tomconstruct the project improvements. Includes all associated travel, fuel, rental, and other associated fees and demobilization upon project completion. This item covers all start up and shut down costs, and will be paid in 2 installments: 60% on the first Application for Payment after mobilization occurs; and 40% on the final Application for Payment. (Lump Sum) 2. Furnish, install, and maintain all temporary erosion and sedimentation control measures as indicated for the duration of the project. Includes but is not limited to: construction entrances w/ curb protection, erosion control blanket in areas of 3:1 or steeper slopes, cofferdam, by-pass pumping, filter bag, rock filter, filter sock, temporary stream crossings, and stockpiling. All temporary erosion control measures shall be removed upon completion of work. Also includes final stabilization of all disturbed areas. (Lump Sum) 3. Perform restoration earthwork, as indicated. Remove and dispose of all excess materials which are excavated or removed as part of the restoration earthwork. Includes: excavating evidenced legacy sediments and removal from site; fill existing incised channel; grading proposed channel system; fill bank installation, and temporary stabilization matting installation. (Lump Sum) 4. Furnish and install log sills, as indicated. Includes: harvesting suitable log sill material onsite and storage of material onsite until needed for installation; excavation of trench suitable for log sill installation; installation of log sills to provide grade control and mitigate the potential for channel incision and floodplain degradation resulting from flooding; choking voids in log sills in order to prevent piping and instability; and backfilling log sills to finished grade. (Lump Sum) 5. Contractor to install woody debris, as indicated. Includes: harvesting and storing materials onsite until needed for installation; over-excavation areas of floodplain to accommodate woody debris placement; install woody debris and backfill. (Lump Sum) 6. Furnish and install Rock Underlayment, as indicated. Includes: over-excavation of areas of floodplain to accommodate riprap placement; furnishing and installing riprap;choking voids with gravel material harvested onsite; furnishing and installing in-place 6" suitable growing medium; furnishing and installing erosion control blanketing to ensure stabilization; and furnishing and installing seed mixture and plants. (Lump Sum) 7. Furnish and install landscaping and plantings, as indicated. Includes: Seeding disturbed areas prior to installing stabilization matting; installation of plant materials, and final stabilization of floodplain disturbance area. (Lump Sum)
