Sealed bids are being requested for construction of the Port of Whitman County's Diamond & Steptoe Fiber-to-the-Home project. All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the prevailing state or federal wage rates (if applicable due to other federal funds are in the project). The Port of Whitman County is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer. This project is (funded/partially funded) through the Washington State Department of Commerce with federal funds from the U.S. Treasury ARPA SLFRF. Contractors must be licensed - bonded and insured in Washington State. Contractors are encouraged to commit to local hires for this project. Small - Minority- and Women-owned firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bids are required to include a five percent (5%) bid guarantee in form of a cashier's check - money order - or surety bond.
