The purpose of this multiple stage bid process is to enter into a contract with a qualified supplier ("Vendor") to provide ancillary furniture for the newly constructed family and graduate housing at the University of Utah ("University"). The University is examining several alternatives of providing this furniture package and may decide, after reviewing bids submitted, not to enter into any agreement. This document is designed to provide interested bidders with sufficient basic information to submit technical qualifications. Under this multi-stage sealed bid procurement, price bids will be considered only in the final stage and only from those bidders whose unpriced technical bids are found acceptable in the qualifying stage(s). The West Village Student Housing project will provide family and graduate student housing at the University of Utah on an 11.8-acre site. The project will deliver 285 family apartments, 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units, totaling approximately 295,000 sf and 219 graduate student apartments, studio, 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units, totaling approximately 147,000 sf. The project will also provide community amenities, including shared kitchens, vending, laundry, storage, study, etc., gathering space (indoor and outdoor), and surface parking. Students and their families will begin moving into the housing project and taking residence in the property on August 1, 2023.
