As of November 8, 2023, this project has bid and a general contractor has been awarded. A firm timeline for start of construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Project Description: The University is seeking an A/E team to provide programming and full design services for the renovation (including seismic upgrade) of the University of Utah Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library (building #589). Multiple phases of design and construction are anticipated depending on the availability of funding. The renovation will be completed over the next several years as a series of separate projects each having its own separate contracts. The University anticipates utilizing a CMGC construction delivery method (with multiple phases/contracts) for the overall renovation. Following announcement of the selection results, the University intends to provide separate contracts to the selected A/E team for the following two projects. Based on available funding and the performance of the A/E team, additional contracts may be awarded to the A/E team for other projects awarded before August 31, 2027 related to the renovation of this building. Project # 22633, Seismic Upgrade: Full design services for seismic upgrade as outlined in the University of Utah Eccles Health Science Library Seismic Upgrade Feasibility Study (May 18, 2022) Project #22632, Programming Remodel.
