PROJECT CONSISTS OF: Base Bid Item 1 - Pond 12 Kettle Structure and work under this item includes mobilization and demobilization, cofferdam construction, site excavation, removal of existing structure, installation of steel shell piling, placement of foundation gravel and geogrid, concrete placement, connecting supply piping, backfilling and compacting of embankments, installing gate valves, handrails, and grating, miscellaneous metal work, adding and regrading pond gravel around structure to drain to new kettle entrance, restoring road gravel, and seeding. Item 2 - Pond 13 Kettle Structure and work under this item includes cofferdam construction, site excavation, removal of existing structure, installation of steel shell piling, placement of foundation gravel, geogrid and reinforced concrete, connecting supply piping, backfilling and compacting of embankments, installing gate valves, handrails, and grating, miscellaneous metal work, adding and regrading pond gravel to drain to new kettle entrance, restoring road gravel, and seeding. Alternate Bid Item 1 Pond 13 Rehabilitation and work under this item includes dewatering, excavation of approximately 4,987 cubic yards of pond bottom spoil material, re-grading approximately 107,730 square feet of fish rearing pond bottom, placement of a plastic geo-grid layer, placement, compaction, and leveling of gravel 18" deep, and removal and trucking of excess spoil material to off-site locations. The 4,987 cubic yards of material being removed shall be placed in a spoil site location approximately 11 miles away.
