This Project Scope Consists of Replacing the Existing Shingle Roof, Including Walkway and Damaged Facia at the City of Hammond Mayors Office Located at 310 East Charles St. Hammond La. 70401. Size is Estimated 6,800 Square Feet, Acutal Measurements Responsibilty of Proposer. Estimated Budget $39,000.00 Performance Bond: The Contractor shall furnish and pay for a Performance Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana, and shall be countersigned by a person who is contracted with the surety company or bond issuer as an agent of the company or issuer, and who is licensed as an insurance agent in this state, and who is residing in this state, in an amount equal to the 100% contract amount. Normally, bid bonds will not be required on bids for materials, supplies, annual contracts or small labor contracts. If a bid bond is required, it will be specifically requested on the RFP form and included in the specifications. . The Work includes the provision of all labor, material, equipment, management, coordination, supervision and administration to complete the Work as outlined. B. The Contractor shall complete the following Work in a safe manner. The following outline of Work is noted by System. The Work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Completely remove existing asphalt shingles and accessories down to the existing plywood deck. Install new asphalt shingles including necessary accessories to receive the manufacturers warranties. Shingles shall be installed to meet IBC Code for the project's location. All trash and debris shall be legally and properly disposed of in a landfill. 2. Install new asphalt shingles and all required accessories. (Including but not limited to Underlayment, Ice and Water Shield, Hip and Ridge Shingle, Starter Shingle , Ventilation, and Sheet metal. NEW ROOFING SYSTEM DESCRIPTION a. Replace any rotten or missing plywood deck and fascia. Fascia is missing in a couple locations. b. Install synthetic underlayment and ice and water shield. c. Install new asphalt shingle system with manufacturer's Starter, Hip and Ridge, vent stack flashings, and Ridge Ventilation. d. Install new sheet metal including fascia, and copings.
