Mow the roadsides with mowing equipment meeting the satisfaction of the County Engineer. All equipment shall be in good working order with slow mowing vehicle emblems that are in good condition. Set the mowing height at 5"-7" or as directed by the County Engineer. Hand trimming is not required but rights of ways shall be mowed completely and within 1 foot of all signs, culverts, telephone pedestals, fences, and all other appurtenances. Remove all debris from roadway after mowing. Provide advanced warning for mowing operations in accordance with the Texas Department of Transportation Roadside Traffic Control Plan (RS-TCP-05) and provide safe passage for all vehicles travelling through mowing operations. The contractor shall execute mowing operations without damaging any signs, delineators, culverts, fencing, trees, utilities, or other roadside features. The contractor shall be responsible for all damages as a result of mowing operations. The contractor shall carry liability insurance of $1,000,000 for the term of the contract. The contractor shall indemnify and hold harmless the County, the County Employees and County Officials of any liability due to the mowing operations. The contract shall be in effect for 1 year beginning October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023.
