Renovation of a mixed-use development in Hinesburg, Vermont. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The Town of Hinesburg is seeking proposals to remove and replace three steel doors, remove one wood door and reframe opening as a wall at four separate facility locations. The Town is seeking the following service removal and replacement of steel doors at three locations as well as the removal of one wood door and reframe opening as a wall: Lyman Well House, Piette Spring House, Cemetery Pump House, and the Town Manager's Office. A. Lyman Well House o Remove & dispose of existing door o Furnish & install 32" wide steel door in existing opening: o To open outward o Panic Bar o Brickmould exterior trim o No interior trim o Apply (2) coats paint to new door only B. Piette Spring House o Remove & dispose of existing door o Furnish & Install 36" wide 6 panel steel door in existing opening: o To open outward o Panic bar o 1" x 4" Boral exterior trim o 1" x 4" pre-primed interior trim. o Apply (2) coats paint to new door only C. Cemetery Pump House o Remove & dispose of existing door and side light o Frame in opening to accommodate 36" wide door o Pressure treated framing o Plywood sheathing o Fiberglass insulation o Drywall Interior o Cement Board siding o Furnish & install 36" wide 6-panel steel door in existing opening o To open outward o Panic bar o 1" x 4" Boral exterior trim o 1" x 4" pre-primed interior trim o Apply (2) coats paint to new door, drywall, trim and siding D. Town Manager's Office o Remove existing door and trim between (2) offices: o Infill opening using spruce framing and 1/2 drywall o 1"x 6" pre-primmed trim both sides o Scribe into corner near old trim o Apply (2) coats paint to (2) affected walls only n Any part responding to the Requests for Bids is acting in an independent capacity and not as an officer or employee of the Town. Any party responding to this Request for Bids will be required to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Town, its officers, and employees from all liability and any claims, suits, expenses, losses, judgments, and damages arising as a result of the responding party's acts and/or omissions in or related to the submission of the response. Only email communication will be accepted. All questions and requests for clarification must be received by September 5, 2022. Questions will be answered in writing. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to negotiate with one or more parties, or to award the contract to the contractor the Town deems will meet its best interest, even if the bid is not the lowest bid. The Town reserves the right to readvertise for additional bids and to extend the deadline for submission of the bids. The Request for Bids in no way obligates the Town to award a contract.
