The Project consists of the following: The project generally consists of the trenchless rehabilitation of 2,265 linear feet of 10-inch VCP sanitary sewer main utilizing ultra-violet (UV) glass reinforced cured-in-place pipe lining, sealing active manhole leaks, full depth manhole lining of 8 manholes, and other work as specified and indicated on the Construction Drawings. All bids are to be submitted on the Bid Form contained in the Contract Documents. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Surety Company Bid Bond on the form provided in the Bid Documents, naming as payee or Obligee, Berks-Montgomery Municipal Authority in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid submitted. The successful BIDDER will be required to execute the Agreement, furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond on the respective forms provided in the Contract Documents, and provide evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Contract Documents. The wages paid on this project will be subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act approved August 15, 1961, P.L. 987 as amended and supplemented. The successful BIDDER shall comply with all applicable equal opportunity laws and regulations. Any BID received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. No BID may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the above specified date for receiving, opening, and reading of BIDS, except as specifically may be provided by law. The Berks-Montgomery Municipal Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids, and to delete any item or portion of an item without affecting the bids on the remaining items or portion of items. Any BID may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of BIDS or authorized postponement thereof.
