The work under this contract shall include the supply of equipment, labour and materials for the performance of all work as required by the Contract Documents. All replaced items, cut-offs and waste material shall be disposed by the contractor in strict accordance with provincial, local, and municipal regulations and Part 8 of the National Building Code and with the Canadian Construction Safety Code. The work to be carried out under this contract includes the repair of Wharves 401, 402 and the east section of Wharf 404 in Port Edward Harbour. The work generally consists of, but is not limited to the following items: .1 Mobilisation/Demobilisation .2 Wharf 401: Replace or repair the following items as shown on the drawings. Replace 18 timber bearing piles/posts complete with concrete footings. Repair 11 deteriorated concrete footings and 1 concrete foundation wall. Repair and install pile wrap on 7 timber piles/posts. Shim 2 timber piles/posts and grout gap under 4 piles/posts on concrete footing. Replace 6 timber cross braces. Replace a number of timber piles caps and timber stringers. .3 Wharf 402: Replace or repair the following items as shown on the drawings. Replace 8 timber bearing piles/posts complete with concrete footings. Repair 1 deteriorated concrete footing. Repair and install pile wrap on 3 timber piles/posts. Shim 11 timber piles/posts and grout gap under 2 piles/posts on concrete footing. Replace a number of timber piles caps and timber stringers. Replace lower section of 2 timber building columns. .4 Wharf 404: Replace or repair the following items as shown on the drawings. Replace 14 timber bearing piles/posts and remove 1 redundant timber pile. Repair and install pile wrap on 3 timber piles/posts. Replace a number of timber piles caps and timber stringers.
