Contractors are invited to submit sealed bids for the City of Olmos Park Sanitary Sewer Bond Project Phase B. The project bid package consists of a Base Bid and three Add Alternate Bids. Work includes the effort necessary to camera-inspect all repairs, restoring landscape, and doing appurtenant work. The project bid package consists of a Base Bid and three Add Alternate Bids. Work includes the effort necessary to camera-inspect all repairs, restoring landscape, and doing appurtenant work. The Base Bid scope of work includes pipe bursting 1,553 LF of lined 6" to 8" pipe, reconnecting sewer laterals, removing and replacing 11 manhole structures, installing 1 new manhole, rehabilitating 1 manhole, abandoning 1 manhole, and performing 6 point repairs. The Add Alternate 1 scope of work includes installing 693 LF of 8" PVC pipe by open-cut, removing and replacing 2 manhole structures, installing 3 new manholes, installing 1 terminal cleanout, and abandoning 44 LF of existing 6" sewer main. The Add Alternate 2 scope of work includes pipe bursting 629 LF of lined 6" pipe, reconnecting service laterals, removing and replacing 2 manhole structures, rehabilitating 1 manhole, and performing 1 point repair. The Add Alternate 3 scope of work includes pipe bursting 122 LF of lined 6" pipe, reconnecting service laterals, and removing and replacing 2 manhole structures. Any bids received late will be rejected and returned to the bidder unopened. Each bid must be accompanied by an acceptable bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Bids must be submitted in the bid form furnished. No bid may be withdrawn for 45 days after the above scheduled closing time set for the receipt of bids. The City of Olmos Park reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any formalities, and to select the bid deemed in the best interest of the City.
