The City of Sandstone is requesting proposals for Architectural and Engineering Services for Design and Construction Documents for Roof Stabilization at the historic Sandstone School. These services will be funded, in part, by a Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Grant ("Legacy Grant"). Proposals must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December, 2022. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time Please submit any questions via email to the Project Director, Kathy George, at administrator@sandstonemn.com no later than 4:00PM Monday November 21, 2022 The scope of services for this proposal includes the design and preparation of drawings and specifications for the repair and replacement-in-kind of the roofing and roof structure at the two- and three-story portions of the building. No work is proposed at the 1960s era one-story addition. The Scope of Services should include: o Collaboration with the owner and selected contractor to determine locations of investigative openings o Condition assessment and investigation as needed to determine the extent and method of repair or replacement of roof structure and roofing o All architectural, structural engineering, or other professional design services for the design of the roof repair and replacement, including: o Roof structure repair and/or replacement o Roofing repair and/or replacement o Limited masonry repair at areas impacted by the roof replacement o Rain water management and drainage from each of the roofs o Production of construction documents (drawings and specifications) for bidding The Scope of Services can be provided by a single firm, or include subconsultants.
