Contract Award Date: Jan 27, 2023 Contract Award Number: 1282B123C0002 Task/Delivery Order Number: Contractor Awarded Unique Entity ID: Contractor Awarded Name: L&I Construction Contractor Awarded Address: Montpelier, ID 83254 USA Base and All Options Value (Total Contract Value): $94026.60 This contract will consists of reconstruction of four (4) base and (4) Optional sections of fence within the East Fork fire area. Work consists of removing old fence and construction of approximately 6.7 miles of new four strand barbed wire fence. Of this 1.2 miles would be let down fence. Braces will be constructed of metal, welded on site and cemented in with the exception of Little Meadow due to limited accessibility the braces will be constructed using cedar posts. The Contractor will provide labor, supervision, transportation, equipment, and tools required to complete the fence projects. The Contractor will be responsible for transporting all necessary materials from the Duchesne Forest Service warehouse to the project sites with the exception of Little Meadow Exclosure. All unused materials will be returned to the place of origin. The contract consists of reconstruction of eight fences within the East Fork fire area. Work consists of removing old fence and construction of approximately 6.7 miles of new four strand barbed wire fence. Of this 1.2 miles would be let down fence. Braces will be constructed of metal, welded on site and cemented in with the exception of Little Meadow due to limited accessibility the braces will be constructed using cedar posts. All unused materials will be returned to the place of origin. General Information 1.0 Scope of Work Item 1 - Mule Creek Fence Removal and Reconstruction: a. Remove all existing fencing and replace with new four strand barbed wire fence. b. Fence is approximately 0.5 mi or 2,651 ft. Item 2 - Bear Wallow Fence Removal and Reconstruction: a. Remove all existing fencing and replace with new four strand barbed wire fence. Old wood posts will be pulled or cut at ground level. b. Fence is approximately 1.73 mi or 9,128 ft. Item 3 - Rock Creek Fence Removal and Reconstruction: a. Remove all existing fencing and replace with new four strand barbed wire fence. Old wood posts will be pulled or cut at ground level. b. Fence is approximately 0.33 mi or 1,766 ft. Item 4 -Little Meadow Exclosure Reconstruction: a. Remove existing barbed wire and braces and replace with new for strand barbed wire fence. Barbed wire will be rolled into 24" diameter rolls suitable for packing out on pack stock. b. Reuse all T-post that are not structurally compromised. c. New cedar post and t-post are on site and maybe used as needed. d. Construct new cedar post corner braces. e. Construct Wire Gate. f. Gate wood stays and brace cross members shall be made from pine trees (aspen and alpine fir are not to be used) in and around the site. g. There is no motorized access to this fence. Nearest access is approximately 1.7 miles from the Moon Lake dam along the Fish Creek non-motorized trail. Contractors' tools and camping gear, if the contractor chooses to camp on site, can be packed in at the beginning of the project and out at the end of the project by the Forest Service. h. Fence is approximately 0.39 mi or 2,077 ft. Item -5 Salt Barrel Fence Removal and Reconstruction: a. Remove all existing fencing and replace with new four strand barbed wire lay down fence. Old cedar posts will be pulled or cut at ground level. b. New fencing is to be constructed of lay down style. c. Fence is approximately 1.13 mi or 5,980 ft. Item 6 - Gooseberry Fence Removal and Reconstruction: a. Remove all existing fencing and replace with new four strand barbed wire fence. Old cedar posts will be pulled or cut at ground level. b. Fence is approximately 1.18 mi or 6,211 ft. Item 7 - Pidgeon Water Fence Removal and Reconstruction: a. Remove all existing fencing and replace with new four strand barbed wire fence. Old cedar posts will be pulled or cut at ground level. b. Fence is approximately 1.24 mi or 6,555 ft. Item 8 - Corner Spring Fence Removal and Reconstruction: a. Remove all existing fencing and replace with new four strand barbed wire fence. Old cedar posts will be pulled or cut at ground level. b. Fence is approximately 0.20 mi or 1,041 ft. CONTRACT TIME: Construction must be completed by September 30th, 2023.
