The Garfield School District Re-2 is soliciting the submission of qualifications and proposals for General Contractor / Construction Manager for repairs needed for the CTE Center located at Rifle High School in Rifle, CO. interviews to take place on December 8, 2022. General Contractor / Construction Manager for Repairs Needed for Rifle High School CTE Center Garfield School District No. Re-2 (Owner) intends to perform repairs to the existing Career Technology Education (CTE) building located on the Rifle High School campus, 1350 Prefontaine Ave., Rifle, CO 81650. The CTE building is a pre-engineered metal building that was built in 1983 as education facilities for the district's vocational technologies. The building areas affected by this work are the large educational spaces and their support areas located to the right / east of building grid "G" as indicated on Exhibit "A" with an affected area of approximately 16,000 s.f. After 40 years of use, these spaces require the following standard repairs: Clean and paint all interior surfaces (walls, ceilings, stairs, guards, etc.) Repair / clean up deteriorated insulation vinyl located at exposed ceilings. Remove and replace existing Kalwall systems with standard wall design such as pre-finished wall panels matching the adjacent surfaces. Replace existing sectional doors and openers where required. Replace all hollow metal doors and hardware. Ceilings with acoustic ceiling tiles will be cleaned and damaged tiles replaced. Revised the introduction to mention removal of all existing vct tile to be replaced with cleaning and staining of the existing concrete floor to remain. The following renovations will also be part of the project: The project includes replacement of the existing lights in the affected space with new, LED light fixtures and systems which are compliant with the 2021 energy code. Demolish and remove existing ventilation system from the vo-ag space. Add new ventilation small area The construction budget including administration and general conditions shall be determined during the design process.
