Contract for Ductile Iron Fittings The Western Virginia Water Authority (WVWA or Authority), is requesting sealed bids for a contract to supply Class 52 ductile iron fittings in assorted sizes to FIELD OPERATIONS. The attached scope of work and specifications are submitted for your review and proposal consideration. Furnish, deliver, and unload Ductile Iron Fittings used in the installation, repair, or replacement of water and sanitary sewer systems. Goods shall be delivered and unloaded at the Authoritys warehouse located at 3322 Hollins Road, Roanoke, VA, or at jobsites within the Authoritys service area. It is the responsibility of the Bidder to check the Authoritys website for any addenda that may be issued prior to the Bid Opening. Bidder must acknowledge all issued addenda on Bid Form. Failure to do so may be grounds for rejection of the bid. Bidders are referred to the Code of Virginia, Public Procurement Act 2.2-4300 et seq. to review the process for competitive sealed bidding. The six-month period shall begin on January 1, 2023. Agreements shall be executed within thirty days of bid opening. It is not the intent of the specifications to be proprietary, or to exclude any manufacturer or dealer. Any brand names used in these specifications are for comparison only. Deviations and/or alternates will be given consideration if they are considered to be suitable and acceptable for comparison. Any deviations or alternates must be submitted, in writing, and clearly identified in the bid. Deviations or alternates discovered after bid award or material receipt, not stated in the bid, shall be grounds for disqualification and nullification of order.
