Waterline Replacement - Install Approximately 4,860 LF of New DI Waterline. The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required by the Contract Documents, Specifications and Plans for the above stated project. The general items of work to be done hereunder consist of construction of installing approximately 4,860 linear feet of new 8-Inch Ductile Iron (DI) waterline within the entire length of Bluff Street, between Stagecoach Drive and River Road. This proposed waterline will replace the existing 8-Inch water main within this reach on Bluff Street. Construction of waterline shall include the water main, fire hydrants, service connections, mainline interconnects, bends, valves, blow-offs, air-vacs and any other necessary appurtenances and related work to the satisfaction and acceptance of the City Engineer There are 90 working days allowed to complete this project. Liquidated damages shall be assessed at $1,000.00 per working day. All necessary forms, specifications and other bid documents may be viewed and downloaded electronically. Businesses who have registered in the Vendor Portal will receive email notices when a new request for bid or proposal relevant to their line of business is issued. Any interested party may view the City's solicitations, as well as the bid results and final notices of award, by logging into the Vendor Portal and using the search features to locate the items of interest. The City's policy is to award bids to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Requests for proposals are awarded to the company whose proposal provides the best overall value and best meets the needs of the City.
