Ohio University Athens Campus Electrical, HVAC & Fire System Improvement 2022, Convocation Center. Upgrading unit substations, panelboards and circuit breakers. OHIO University of Athens, OHIO (hereafter called The University) invites proposals for a service engagement titled "Electrical, HVAC & Fire System Improvements 2022" as described herein. The information provided herein is intended to assist firms to respond properly to this Request for Proposal. The University believes this RFP provides interested firms with sufficient information to submit proposals that meet minimum requirements. It is not intended to limit a proposal's content or to exclude any relevant or essential data. Firms are encouraged to include additional information that will substantiate their service or product quality and service capabilities. Electrical Equipment Furnish: (2) unit substations, one (1) 250A, J-Frame, Mission Critical circuit breaker with micrologic LSI trip unit, and three (3) 225A, NQ panelboards with circuit breakers. Electrical Alternate E2: The manufacturer shall include separate bids for the two (2) unit substations with and without Electrical Alternate E2. Electrical Alternate E2 provides a separate vertical section and circuit breaker with trapped key interlock to the main breaker for each unit substation. Method of Award: Awards for goods and services will be made to the respondent(s) providing the most responsive and responsible proposal that provides the best overall value to the University. The University reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and is not bound to accept the lowest-cost proposal if that proposal is not in the best interests of the University. In making an award, factors such as the firm's service capability, integrity, facilities, equipment, reputation and past performance will be weighed.
