A successful firm will be selected based upon the following criteria to determine the best overall value to the City: 1) Demonstrated understanding of the scope of services required; 2) Qualifications to perform the scope of services; 3) Organization and staffing of the business; 4) References from other communities receiving services; and 5) Past performance on City contracts or demonstrated accomplishments; and 6) Total cost based on the Fee Schedule for providing specified scope of services. The City of Lafayette reserves the right to reject any or all proposals not in compliance with public bidding procedures; to waive any irregularities in the bids; to reject any or all bids; to postpone award of the contract for period not to exceed sixty (60) days from date of proposal opening; to waive informalities in the proposals; and to select the proposal that is in the best interest of the City. No bid will be considered unless the bidder is licensed by the Oregon Landscape Contractors Board. Contractor shall provide the City of Lafayette evidence of professional and general liability insurance in amounts acceptable to the City. The Certificate of Insurance shall identify the insurer and the Contractor by name, the type and amount of insurance, the location and type of operations to which the insurance applies, and the effective and expirations date of the policies of insurance. The Contractor shall provide Lafayette notice of any changes of insurance provider, coverage, limits of liability or cancellation of insurance. Limits of liability shall be not less than one million dollars ($1,000,000) per occurrence or alleged to have been suffered by reason or in the course of operations of the Contractor, or any subcontractor, or both. Required insurance must be maintained throughout the term of the Contract.
