Work to be Bid: 1. Work to be covered by the bids shall include Centralia Junior High and Jordon Elementary School sitework construction and all associated work described in the construction documents. Type of Contract: Sitework Contractor - Junior High 2. Sitework Contractor - Jordan Elementary. Bid security payable to the Owner in the amount of 5% of the total Bid, shall be executed by the Bidder in the form of certified check, bank draft, or acceptable surety. The successful bidder will be required to execute a Payment and Performance Bond. Contractor must pay all sums of money due or to become due for any labor in accordance with Illinois Wages of Employees of Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Wages printed in the Project Manual are for the month of bidding only. Certified Payroll is required to be submitted with all Pay Applications. Successful bidders will be required to perform and provide criminal background checks on all contractors, subcontractors and their employees, agents, or assigns that will be employed on this project prior to commencement of work, at the Contractor's expense. Bidding Procedure: 1. No faxed/ electronic bids will be accepted. 2. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part or to waive any informalities in the bidding, 3. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of Ninety (90) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. Bidding Schedule: The Owner anticipates all work contemplated in the Construction Documents for Jordan Elementary shall commence April 1, 2023 and be complete May 1, 2023. The Owner anticipates all work contemplated in the Construction Documents for Junior High shall commence May 1, 2023 and be complete June 1, 2023.
