MCER Track Rehabilitation Install up to 15,000 wood railroad ties in active freight rail track; remove replaced ties and dispose; install 40 switch timbers; install up to 4,000 l.f. of replacement rail; rehabilitate 14 private railroad crossings; install up to 10,000 tons of new stone ballast; surface, line and tamp up to 130,000 track feet of mainline track; furnish and install 20,000 new tie plates; furnish and install 12,000 joint bolt assemblies; replace one undergrade bridge deck. Contractor must show evidence of having worked on an active railroad on a project of equal or greater value and was able to complete the work with no impacts to railroad operations. Contract will be awarded in accordance with M.G.L. c. 30, 39M. Questions from prospective bidders concerning the Bid Package are due by 2 pm EST on Friday, January 20, 2023. Furnishing and installation of ballast - line, surface and tamp track
Track gaging of existing crossties adjacent to newly installed crossties
Reconstruction of private crossings
Spot replacement of rail
Furnishing and installing joint bolt assemblies
Furnishing and installing tie plates
Disposal and/or salvage of removed track material; plates, OTM
Disposal of removed crossties
Removal and disposal of trash and debris
Cleanup of the work area
All other work associated with the Ware River Secondary Track Rehabilitation and Tie Installation Project as described in the Proj
