As of October 2025, a contractor has been selected and construction is expected to begin in 2026. The City of Oak Creek is interested in obtaining the services of an Engineering Consultant firm for the design and preparation of preliminary and final bridge plans, specifications, and construction cost estimate for the superstructure replacement of the S. 6th Street bridge over Oak Creek (P-40-556). The City of Oak Creek has been awarded state/federal funding for the design of the S. 6th Street bridge through the Local Bridge Program, therefore the project must meet federal and state requirements.
