Renovation of a library in Saint Stephen, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 12,138-square-foot library.
Berkeley County is seeking qualified contractors to perform renovations to the St. Stephen Magistrate & Library located at 113 Ravenell Drive, St. Stephen, SC 29479. BONDS: Bids in excess of $100,000.00 will require a 5% Bid Bond. Offerors requiring additional information may submit their questions in writing. Questions may be directed via the procurement portal located at online. The deadline for submitting written questions DEADLINE FOR WRITTEN QUESTIONS: April 28, 2023, at 12:00 PM local time Project scope includes the removal of the existing roof structure, installation of a new structural steel frame on concrete foundations with helical piers, installation of new wood framed roof system with sheathing and asphalt shingles. Some interior renovations, replacement of all exterior windows and doors, HVAC work is limited to the removal and reinstallation of existing equipment, minor plumbing work associated with new roof system, modifications to fire alarm system, electrical work with new light fixtures in a portion of the building and modifications to existing systems for work associated with accommodating new roof system.
