Excavation and removal of two (2) 15,000-gallon diesel fuel Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) and one (1) 10,000-gallon No. 2 heating oil UST and removal of associated piping and appurtenances. 3. Removal of three (3) diesel fuel dispensers. 4. Removal of four (4) 1,000-gallon steel Aboveground Storage Tanks (ASTs) within the maintenance building. 5. Repair of disturbed pavement and reinforced concrete. Repair of disturbed pavement and concrete markings. 6. Add/Alt: Replacement of PVTA's Union Station bus reinforced concrete charging pad located at 55 Frank B. Murray Street, Springfield, MA. Bid security for all General Bids in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check payable to the Owner shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount including alternates. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bid bonds must be issued by a surety licensed to do business in Massachusetts. Bidders shall provide descriptions of at minimum three (3) projects of similar size, scope, and complexity including references. The Contractor shall provide references for their five (5) most recently completely projects and descriptions of each project. This information shall be provided in the Bid Form (Appendix 004100B). A minimum of three (3) project descriptions and references shall be provided for subcontractors to be used in completion of the work. A Performance Bond, and a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price (including the price of any and all alternates), and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder, with such bonds and insurance to be issued by sureties and insurers, respectively, that are licensed to do business in Massachusetts and satisfactory to the Owner. Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of the Division of Occupational Safety of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development under the provisions of the and are included with the bid documents. To the extent included in these bid documents, federal, Davis-Bacon Act wage rates also apply to the work. In the event of a conflict between the state and federal wage rates, the higher rate shall apply
