Sealed bids will be accepted from qualified contractors by Midland Public Schools for the Midland Public Schools 2023 Asbestos Abatement Projects project. All questions regarding the project are to be directed in writing to John Rehkopf at john@northernas.com or by fax at 866-214-4739. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid amount is required and shall accompany the bid. Bid security may be in the form of a bid bond issued by a qualified surety authorized to do business in the State of Michigan, a cashiers check, or money order payable to Midland Public Schools. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the bid date. Familial Disclosure All bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner(s) or any employee of the bidder and any member of the board, intermediate school board, or board of directors or the superintendent of the school district, or chief executive officer or the public school academy. Bids that do not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement will not be accepted. Iran Economics Sanctions Act All bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized affidavit of compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act.
