Site work for an educational facility in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.

Project Location: Cash, Morgan, Sedge Garden, Gibson, Jefferson, Meadowlark, Elementary WSFCS has a goal of 10% participation. All vendors shall have a fair and reasonable opportunity to participate in WSFCS business opportunities INSURANCE. At the Project Site, complete the following (additional pages or drawings may be attached): 1. All permits shall be the responsibility of the contractor. 2. Contractor shall provide all materials and labor to provide a turnkey installation. (See installation section of Specifications.) 3. Contractor shall have the installation completed and operational in a reasonable amount of time. 4. Contractor must provide a copy of General Liability Insurance and Workman's Comp. Insurance. (If not already on file) 5. Contractor shall be responsible for payment of all debts incurred in relation to their employees, sub-contractors hired by the contractor, leased equipment or materials, including any liens for non-payment. 6. All change orders shall be in writing from the contractor to the school system and shall not be started without written approval. 7. It is the responsibility of the contractor to clean up all materials and debris at the end of each workday. 8. It is State Law that there be NO Tobacco Use on School Property. 9. It is the responsibility of the contractor to follow all OSHA, State and Local, Laws and Rules. 10. Contractor shall check in at the school office, that their presence on campus is documented. 11. Any alternates used to products listed in specifications must be submitted in writing and be approved by owner. Contractor shall provide and install, 1. Morgan Elementary, 670 feet of 4-foot 9-gauge fence, Two end posts, three corner posts, two gate posts, one twelve-foot double gate. 2. Meadowlark Elementary, 710 feet of 4-foot 9-gauge fence Four end posts, one corner post, six gate post, two twelve-foot double gates, one four-foot walk gate. 3. Jefferson Elementary 420 feet 4-foot 9-gauge fence, four corner posts, four gate posts, one four-foot walk gate, one twelve-foot double gate. 4. Gibson Elementary, 449 feet of 4-foot 9-gauge fence, two end posts, two corner posts, four gate posts, one four-foot panic hardware gate assembly, one twelve-foot double gate. 5. Cash Elementary, Base bid to include, 324 feet of 4 -foot 9-gauge fence, two end posts, three corner posts, six gate posts, three four-foot walk gates. Alternate one, 525 feet of 4-foot 9-gauge fence, four corner posts, four gate posts, one four-foot walk gate, one twelve-foot double gate. 6. Sedge Garden Elementary, 240 feet of 4-foot 9-gauge fence, four end posts, one corner post, four gate posts, one four-foot panic hardware gate assemble, one twelve-foot double gate. 7. All posts and top rail shall be LG-30 or schedule 40 weight. 8. Chain link fabric shall be 4-foot 9 gauge galvanized. 9. End and corner posts are 2 1/2 inch. 10. Gate posts are 3 inches. 11. Panic hardware gates will use Seargent 3828 exit device, 28 KLL Seargent lever handle with rim cylinder lock assembly. The undersigned, as bidder, hereby declares that the only person or persons interested in this Proposal as principal or principals is or are named herein and that no other person than herein mentioned has any interest in this Proposal or in the Contract to be entered into; that this Proposal is made without connection with any other persons, company or parties making a bid or proposal; and that it is in all respects fair and in good faith without collusion or fraud. The undersigned, as bidder, declares that prior to Bid preparation he examined the site of the Work, and he has examined the entire Contract Documents relative thereto and has read all special provisions furnished prior to the opening of bid; that he has correlated personal observations with the Contract Documents and satisfied himself relative to Work to be performed. The undersigned, as bidder, proposes and agrees if this proposal is accepted to Contract with the WinstonSalem/Forsyth County Board of Education in the Form of Contract specified, to furnish all Systems necessary to complete the Work in full and complete accordance with the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents and any attached addendum to the full and entire satisfaction of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Board of Education, with a definite understanding that no money will be allowed for extra work except as set forth in the General Conditions and the Contract Documents. The undersigned, as bidder, agrees to begin work promptly after a Notice to Proceed with an adequate force, carry the work forward as rapidly as possible, and complete the entire project within the number of days specified herein. The Bidder shall provide for completion of this Work on or before May 30, 2014. It is directly understood that the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids should they deem it to be in the best interest of the Owner. Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) consist of minority, women and disabled business firms that are at least fifty-one percent owned and operated by an individual(s) of the categories. Also included in this category are disabled business enterprises and non-profit work centers for theblind and severely disabled. Pursuant to G.S. 143B-1361(a), 143-48 and 143-128.4, THE STATE invites and encourages participation in this procurement process by businesses owned by minorities, women, disabled, disabled business enterprises and nonprofit work centers for the blind and severely disabled. This includes utilizing subcontractors to perform the required functions in this RFP. Any questions concerning NC HUB certification, contact the North Carolina Office of Historically UnderutilizedBusinesses at (919) 807- 2330. Bid deviations from specifications, work methods, engineering, design, schedule, or other Work indicated herein are to be clearly identified in the Bid as deviations, otherwise it will be considered that Work shall in strict compliance with these specifications. Any Bidder may withdraw his bid prior to the scheduled opening time for the bids. Bid and Contract requirements can be altered only by written addendum from the W-S / FCS Capital Projects Coordinator and that verbal communications from whatever source are of no effect.
