This project is funded partially by a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) provided by the Northampton County Department of Community and Economic Development. As such, the contractor must become familiar with and comply with the terms and conditions specified in the project grant. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check made payable to Bangor Borough in the amount of 10% of the total bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder shall provide a performance bond or certified check to the municipality in the amount of 100% of the contract within 20 days after the contract is awarded. The municipality reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, irregularities, informalities, or technicalities in any bid. All bids shall be irrevocable for sixty (60) days after the bid opening date. All bidders shall be PennDOT pre-qualified and all materials shall be PennDOT approved. Each bidder is required to bid on the total project. All quantities listed are approximate. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $825.00 per calendar day.
