A BID bond may be used in lieu of a certified check. This contract issubject to the Burlington Pre-Qualification of Construction Contractors, the Burlington Livable Wage Ordinance, the Burlington Union Deterrence Ordinance, and the Burlington Outsourcing Ordinance. No bid will be accepted without signed certificates of compliance with listed ordinances and a filled out Pre-Qualification of Construction Contractors Application. TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION: The scope of the work consists of removing and replacing sidewalks and sidewalk ramps, curb adjustment or replacement and rain garden construction CONTRACT START DATE: Work shall not begin prior to July 3, 2023. CONTRACT COMPLETION DATE: The Contract shall be completed on or before November 1, 2023. Work continued after November 1, 2023 shall be subject to accrue liquidated damages as set forth by the GENERAL PROVISIONS of the City of Burlington VT 2023 Engineering Specifications. ENGINEERS ESTIMATE: The Engineers Estimate of the base bid for this Proposal is $400,000 - $600,000 QUESTIONS, REVISIONS, & ADDENDUM: During the advertisement phase of this project all questions shall be addressed solely to the MPM All questions must be submitted before March 27, 2023 at 5:00 PM. Questions received after this time may not be answered. Any revisions, addendums and answers to questions received by the due date for questions will be sent to bidders who received this Invitation via email. In addition, revisions will be posted on the City's RFP It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure that a valid email is submitted to the plan distributor to the contact information above. It is recommended that bidders submit secondary contact information. The bidder shall acknowledge receipt of all addenda in the bid form. Failure to acknowledge the receipt of addenda will result in disqualification of the bid. PREQUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS: All bidders on this project shall be prequalified by the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) and City of Burlington. For City of Burlington, prequalification shall be submitted by interested Bidders a minimum of 5 days before the Bid Due Date unless they are already qualified with the City of Burlington under a prior project. The design team and construction subcontractors shall be involved in these meetings as necessary and requested. The general contractor shall prepare an updated construction schedule documenting the upcoming construction activities. The City shall be responsible for securing a meeting location and preparing all meeting materials, notes, and action items. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
