The City is seeking the following tasks to be included in the Bid's scope of work. Long line and stencil refresh painting for bike lanes and center double yellow lines throughout the City of Burlington. Detailed list of locations will be available to the successful bidder. The successful bidder must complete work on the Bike Lane Portion of this bid on or before May 26, 2024 and fully complete the project by June 30, 2024. Long line painting should be done during the hours between 10:00PM TO 6AM to reduce the chance of traffic driving on wet paint. The City will assist in Posting No Parking signs so that streets may be cleaned by the City before they are painted by the successful bidder Traffic cones must be used to protect all freshly applied markings. All equipment must be in good operating order to ensure that all lines are straight, evenly applied, uniform thickness, and clear sharp edges. It is the right of the city's representative to hold payment on any work that is not acceptable by the specifications and workmanship requirements. All questions must be submitted before April 10, 2023 by 4:00PM. Any revisions, addendums, and answers to questions received at least three days before the due date will be sent to potential contractors who directly received this Invitation. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to negotiate with one or more parties, or to award the contract to the proposal the City deems will meet its best interests, even if that proposal is not the lowest bid. The City reserves the right to re-advertise for additional proposals and to extend the deadline for submission of the proposals. This Request for Proposals in no way obligates the City to award a contract.
