DESCRIPTION: During previous significant storm events, the at-grade wash crossing of Back O’ Beyond Road would be covered with water, isolating residents in the neighborhood, and visitors to the Cathedral Rock Trailhead. This project calls for installing a 3’ rise by 12’ span concrete box culvert with headwalls to divert flowing water under the roadway, allowing safer travel for traffic and pedestrians. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: $570 per day beyond the 123 calendar day Contract Duration. Contract TIME: 123 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed (124 including NTP). Each bidder's proposal shall be made on forms furnished in the Contract Documents and must be accompanied by a security consisting of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the total bid amount, and made payable to the CITY OF SEDONA, ARIZONA The successful Bidder will be required to furnish two (2) bonds. One (1) bond, to become effective upon award of the Contract, shall be a Performance Bond substantially in the form attached, and shall be in a sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price including any additions to the Contract. The Bond shall be effective throughout the construction period, including a two (2) year warranty period. The successful Bidder shall also furnish a Labor and Material Payment Bond, substantially in the form attached, to become effective upon award. Said Labor and Material Bond shall be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price.
