This work shall consist of furnishing all labor, material, and equipment necessary to complete the sidewalk replacement and related work, as specified herein. The Contractor shall be responsible for hauling all material waste. All work shall be in accordance with the requirements, the applicable drawings, and subject to the terms and conditions of these guidelines. Contractor shall complete all work. Reserved Rights: The City reserves the right to make such investigations as it deems necessary to make the determination of the bidder's responsiveness and responsibility. Such information may include but shall not be limited to: current financial statement, verification of availability of equipment and personnel, and past performance records. FAXED/EMAILED BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED If sent by mail, two original signed Bids shall be submitted in one sealed package, clearly marked on the outside of the package with "2023 Sidewalk Replacement - Villa Park" and firm Name addressed to: City of Olivette, Attn: City Clerk, 2023 Sidewalk Replacement - Villa Park, 1140 Dielman Road, Olivette, MO 63132. Bidder shall install new 5' wide concrete sidewalk (4" thick) from the eastern entrance to Villa Park to Charlesgate Dr. Work shall include a new curb ramp, slab replacement and curb at Charlesgate. The removal of the slab and curb ramp will be performed by the City. A variable curb height (maximum 12") will be needed on the back side of the sidewalk for grading. There is an existing water meter near the back side of the sidewalk. The new curb along the back side of the sidewalk shall be installed on the road side of the meter. A double curb inlet exists along the approach radius to Charlesgate. A portion of the existing sidewalk includes these lids. The concrete lids should be replaced to ensure ADA compliance of the sidewalk and curb ramp. See Figure 2 of a photo of this area
